17-Year-Old Boy Stabbed to Death in Pune; Three Minors Detained

Pune, November 5: A 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death in central Pune on Tuesday evening, following an old dispute, police said.

The incident took place near Maharana Pratap Garden on Bajirao Road. The victim was travelling with a friend on a motorbike when three teenagers attacked him with sharp weapons.

Police from Khadak station said all the accused, along with the victim and his friend, were from the Parvati area. “We have identified and detained three minors involved in the incident and recovered the weapon used,” an officer said.

Preliminary investigation suggests the murder was a result of past enmity and not linked to any gang activity. “They were just local troublemakers, not part of any organised group,” the officer added.

The body has been sent for post-mortem and further investigation is underway.
