Pune Ring Road Project Gains Momentum with Key Planning Meeting

The Pune Ring Road project is set to accelerate following a crucial planning meeting held today at the Government Rest House, Pune. The meeting, chaired by Minister of State Madhuri Misal, focused on reviewing the progress and planning of the Pune Ring Road project under the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA).
During the meeting, Minister Misal issued clear directives to speed up the execution of the project. She emphasized completing the survey process for government land allotted to PMRDA at the earliest. This step is critical for ensuring timely implementation and unlocking the project’s full potential.

Key discussions also addressed challenges related to the Structural Plan, Economic Growth Hub, and urban development issues in Pune. Solutions were proposed to overcome existing hurdles and ensure smooth coordination between various departments.
The meeting witnessed participation from several senior PMRDA officials, including Additional Commissioner Deepak Singla, Joint Commissioner of Administration Poonam Mehta, Director of Development Permission Department Avinash Patil, Financial Controller Padmashree Taldekar, Chief Fire Officer Devendra Potphode, and Joint Commissioner Himmat Kharade, along with other officers and staff.
This renewed push for the Pune Ring Road project reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure, easing traffic congestion, and boosting economic growth in the region.
