Pune: Man Rescued from 20-Foot Deep Drain Near Sankalp Garden in Vadmukhwadi
Pune, July 17, 2025: In a late-night rescue operation, a 35-year-old man was saved from a 20-foot-deep drain near Sankalp Garden in Vadmukhwadi. The incident occurred around midnight when the Chovisawadi and Moshi fire brigade stations received alerts about the man falling into the drain.
Upon receiving the information, firefighting teams from both stations rushed to the spot. Using ropes and a stretcher, the firefighters carefully extracted the injured individual, who was found in critical condition and visibly distressed. The victim was immediately transported to Rahane Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the identity of the man or the circumstances leading to the accident. Further investigations are underway to determine how he fell into the drain.
