Pune: Two Cars Catch Fire in Separate Incidents, No Injuries Reported

Pune News, July 04, 2025: In two separate incidents on Wednesday, cars caught fire in different parts of the city, raising concerns over vehicle safety. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either case.
Hyundai Creta Engulfed in Flames Near Katraj Tunnel
The first incident occurred around 8:30 PM near the old Katraj tunnel, where a Hyundai Creta SUV suddenly burst into flames. Eyewitnesses reported thick smoke and rapid spread of fire, completely gutting the vehicle. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Fire Brigade responded swiftly, controlling the blaze within minutes. The cause remains under investigation.

Second Car Fire Near Bhujbal Chowk, Wakad
Earlier in the evening, around 6:30 PM, another car caught fire just before Bhujbal Chowk in Wakad. The fire department quickly arrived at the scene and extinguished the flames before any injuries could occur. Details about the car model and possible cause are yet to be disclosed.
