Pune News, July 01, 2025: A tragic incident occurred in Pune’s Camp area on Tuesday when a slab of an under-construction building collapsed, resulting in the death of one laborer and leaving three others injured. The accident occurred at an apartment construction site under the jurisdiction of the Lashkar Police Station.
According to police reports, the laborers were working at the site when a pillar suddenly gave way, causing a portion of the structure to collapse. Four workers were trapped under the debris, with one succumbing to injuries on the spot. The remaining three were rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the collapse, with initial assessments pointing to possible structural instability. The deceased worker’s identity has not yet been disclosed, pending notification of family members.
Local officials and rescue teams swiftly responded to the scene, ensuring the injured received immediate care. The incident has raised concerns over construction safety protocols in rapidly developing areas of Pune.
