Pune: PCMC Firefighters Save Cow Trapped in 40-Foot Deep Muddy Pit in Ravet in a Late-Night Rescue
Pune, July 01, 2025: In a heroic late-night operation, firefighters from the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) rescued a cow trapped in a 40-foot-deep muddy pit in Ravet. The dramatic rescue showcased the dedication and swift action of the fire brigade, who worked tirelessly to save the distressed animal.
The incident occurred when the cow accidentally fell into the deep pit, which was filled with slippery mud, making escape impossible. Upon receiving the alert, the PCMC fire department rushed to the scene with specialized equipment. Two brave firefighters descended into the pit where the cow’s behaviour was unpredictable but they somehow managed to secure the cow in a safety harness.
Despite the challenging terrain and darkness, the team successfully pulled the cow to safety, earning praise from locals.
