Pune: MLA Mahesh Landge Meets Hinjawadi IT Professionals, Promises Support
Pune, June 28, 2024 – Bhosari MLA Mahesh Landge has assured IT professionals in Hinjawadi of his full support to address the area’s infrastructure challenges. In a tweet, Landge stated:
“#UNCLOGHinjawadiITPark Update: Today, 28th June, I met with the petitioner and a group of IT professionals and assured them of my full support.”
He highlighted the growing public demand for better infrastructure, sharing a link to an online petition (https://chng.it/wjqXhNVFxx) that has already gained over 25,000 signatures. Landge emphasized the urgency of resolving these issues, stating:
“Hinjawadi IT Park, which has put Pimpri-Chinchwad on the global map, is now grappling with serious infrastructural challenges. Due to inadequate basic amenities, IT professionals in this area have started the #UNCLOGHinjawadiITPark signature campaign. Strengthening roads and core infrastructure in Hinjawadi and the surrounding IT hub is the need of the hour — and we fully support this initiative.”

Discussions with Local Representatives
Landge also met with Sachin Londhe, President of the Wakad-Pimpri Chinchwad Resident Development and Welfare Association, and his team. He tweeted:
“Today, I met Mr. Sachin Londhe, President of the Wakad-Pimpri Chinchwad Resident Development and Welfare Association, along with his team. We discussed various issues faced by the Hinjawadi IT hub and possible solutions.”
Government’s Proposed Solutions
The MLA mentioned ongoing discussions about merging Hinjawadi and seven neighboring villages into the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), stating:
“A proposal is already under consideration to merge Hinjawadi and seven other villages into the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. The BJP Mahayuti government is positive about this.”
Additionally, he referenced plans for a new municipal corporation combining Chakan, Alandi, and Khed, and urged Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to engage with stakeholders:
“We have also urged Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis to hold a detailed meeting with IT professionals and local representatives on this matter.”
