Pune, June 07, 2025: A brief but intense spell of rain wreaked havoc in Pune on Friday, turning Hinjawadi IT Park and Bhosari into waterlogged zones, with roads submerged and two-wheelers swept away by strong currents. The downpour, lasting only a few minutes, exposed severe drainage failures, leaving commuters stranded and residents frustrated.

Videos from Hinjawadi Phase 2 showed bikes floating as floodwaters gushed through streets, reigniting concerns over civic preparedness.

Similar scenes unfolded in Bhosari MIDC under PCMC limits, where locals slammed authorities for inaction despite repeated monsoon warnings.

MP Supriya Sule flagged the situation, sharing visuals of inundation near Ryan International School and demanding urgent drainage repairs.

Meanwhile, a Red Alert has been issued for Mumbai and Raigad, predicting heavy rains in South Mumbai and suburbs, with Navi Mumbai already experiencing resumed showers.
