Pune: Woman Crushed to Death by Concrete Mixer Truck in Manjari, Case Registered

A tragic road accident in Pune’s Manjari area claimed the life of a 38-year-old woman on Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred near Tupe Corner, opposite the Khau Galli stretch, when a concrete mixer truck struck a two-wheeler, leading to the woman being crushed under the vehicle’s rear wheel.
The deceased has been identified as Renu Brahmashankar Shivpratap Pandey, a resident of Keshavnagar. Her husband, Brahmashankar Shivpratap Pandey (39), who was riding the two-wheeler, escaped with minor injuries and has filed a complaint at the Hadapsar Police Station.
According to the complaint and police reports, the couple was on their way for shopping around 12:30 PM on April 4, traveling along the Keshavnagar–Manjari Road, when the mishap occurred. The concrete mixer truck tried overtaking their bike from the right, lost control, and collided with them. Both victims fell to the left side, but Renu Pandey was tragically run over by the vehicle.
She was immediately rushed to Sassoon Hospital, where she was declared brought dead. The Hadapsar police arrived at the location swiftly, and Police Sub-Inspector Gandhale is currently leading the investigation. A case has been registered against the truck driver based on the husband’s complaint.
