Maharashtra is also on the radar, with expected impacts from 7 to 8 May. According to the IMD, isolated areas across the country may experience typical summer rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.

For Maharashtra, an Orange Alert has been issued for the next 72 hours. Residents in Pune and Mumbai are under a Yellow Alert for the next three days.
