Murlidhar Mohol, Pune Lok Sabha MP and Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation, shared that the inauguration marks a significant milestone in strengthening Pune’s transportation infrastructure. He recalled his tenure as Chairman of the Standing Committee, during which he proposed and secured approval for the construction of three flyovers, including the one on Sinhagad Road. “During my time in the Standing Committee, I presented the concept for the Nal Stop double flyover, the Sinhagad Road flyover, and the bridge from Kothrud to Sun City over the Mutha River. I also ensured financial provisions for these projects,” he mentioned.

He added that while two of these flyovers have already been completed, work on the third bridge is progressing well.

The Sinhagad Road flyover’s completion will be a major boost for commuters traveling in and around the area. Once opened, it will allow smooth travel from Rajaram Bridge directly to Fun Time Theater, which will help decongest the area, improve traffic flow, and save time for many daily travelers.

Murlidhar Mohol emphasized the timely completion of the project, stating that it was completed in record time, marking another fulfilled promise for the people of Pune.
