Pune: Car Burns Down Completely on Mumbai-Pune Highway Near Dapodi, No Casualties Reported
Pune: A car caught fire on the Mumbai-Pune Highway near the Dapodi area on Monday night, April 7, 2025. The incident occurred around 9.45 PM, causing panic among motorists and temporarily affecting traffic flow in the area.
According to officials, the car was completely engulfed in flames. The Pimpri Chinchwad Fire Department quickly responded to the situation after receiving information about the fire. A fire tender was rushed to the spot, and the firefighters successfully brought the blaze under control.
Fortunately, no loss of life or injuries were reported in the incident.
The Pimpri Chinchwad Fire Department also shared a video of the incident, which shows the vehicle entirely covered in high flames. The video, shared by news agency IANS, has gone viral on social media. Local police and a crowd of onlookers had gathered at the site, leading to brief traffic disruption on the highway.
