Pune: Navayuga Engineering Begins Work on Key Packages of Pune Outer Ring Road Project
The Pune Outer Ring Road project, a long-awaited infrastructure initiative in Maharashtra, is making significant progress. Out of the five packages in the western half of the project, three consecutive packages—W2, W3, and W4—totaling 41.5 km, have been awarded to Navayuga Engineering Company. The company has already commenced land clearing along the alignment of all three packages, with visible progress noted on ground.
Notably, land clearing has also begun near the Khadakwasla dam backwaters, where a bridge is planned to be constructed over the backwaters. This marks a crucial step forward in the project’s development.
The Pune Outer Ring Road, spanning 170 km, is designed to address traffic congestion, reduce pollution, and promote suburban growth. Once completed, it will connect 83 villages and integrate major inter-district highways, including Pune-Ahmednagar, Pune-Solapur, Pune-Bengaluru, Pune-Nashik, and Pune-Mumbai.
After years of planning and anticipation, the Pune Outer Ring Road is finally becoming a reality, promising to transform the region’s connectivity and infrastructure.
