Pune: Police Sub-Inspector Jitendra Girnar Dies in Accident After New Year’s Eve Duty
Pune, January 01, 2025: In a tragic incident, Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) Jitendra Girnar of Pimpri-Chinchwad lost his life in a road accident while on duty after New Year’s Eve.
The incident occurred in the Chakan MIDC area when Girnar’s car collided with a container truck near the Mahindra company.
PSI Girnar was on patrol duty in the Chakan MIDC region, ensuring public safety during the New Year festivities. Around the Mahindra company area, a container truck, moving in the right lane, suddenly veered into the left lane. This abrupt maneuver resulted in Girnar’s car crashing into the truck from behind. The severe impact caused critical injuries, and despite efforts, Girnar succumbed to his injuries.
This unfortunate event has left the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate in mourning, and Girnar’s family is deeply grieved by his untimely demise. While the city celebrated the arrival of the New Year, this incident has cast a shadow of sorrow over the police force and the local community.
