Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, made the announcement at the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) in New Delhi. He highlighted that this initiative, which began in 2019, has already raised over ₹50 crore. Every single rupee goes directly to the Namami Gange Project, the government’s flagship mission to clean and protect the sacred Ganga river. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the first to dedicate all such mementos to this noble national effort.
This year’s collection is a vibrant display of India’s culture. It includes stunning paintings, intricate sculptures, traditional handicrafts, and ceremonial items. Some standout pieces include an embroidered Pashmina shawl from Jammu & Kashmir, a magnificent Tanjore painting of Ram Durbar, and a metallic Nataraja statue.

A particularly inspiring part of this auction features sports memorabilia. These are tokens gifted by India’s champion para-athletes from the Paris 2024 Paralympics, symbolizing incredible resilience and national pride.
