In a bizarre and reckless incident, a woman drove her car on railway tracks near Shankarpally in Telangana, causing panic among railway staff and disrupting train services on the Bengaluru-Hyderabad route. The woman, identified as Vomika Son, drove her Kia Sonet car for nearly 8 kilometers on the railway tracks between Nagulapalli and Shankarpalli. According to reports, she allegedly intended to shoot a social media reel to prove her driving skills, putting lives at risk in the process.
Railway officials, upon receiving alerts, immediately halted train movements as a precautionary measure. A train pilot managed to stop just in time, averting a potential disaster. Despite repeated attempts by railway staff to stop her, Vomika accelerated, continuing her dangerous stunt.
Chaotic Escape and Arrest
After driving on the tracks for several kilometers, the car eventually veered off the railway line, crashing into a tree. The impact shattered the car’s windows, and in a further act of aggression, Vomika allegedly came out wielding an iron rod and attacked the officials trying to restrain her.
