The initiative, launched by the Ministry of External Affairs, aims to provide citizens with earlier appointment slots. This drive is bifurcated into two distinct categories: a wide-scale drive for Normal applications across several districts and an exclusive Tatkaal drive at the Pune PSK.

Special Drive for ‘Normal’ Category

The drive for Normal category applicants will be held between 09:00 hrs and 17:00 hrs at the following locations under RPO Pune’s jurisdiction:

  • PSK: Solapur
  • POPSKs: Pimpri-Chinchwad, Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, Shirur, Ahmednagar, Baramati, and Ichalkaranji.

Applicants are reminded that these centers will only process Normal category applications (both Fresh and Re-issue). Walk-ins and Tatkaal applications will not be entertained at these specific locations on the day of the drive.

Exclusive ‘Tatkaal’ Drive at PSK Pune

Simultaneously, a dedicated drive for Tatkaal applicants will be conducted exclusively at the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) Pune, located at Zero One, Mundhwa Road, Mundhwa.

Due to the stringent eligibility criteria for Tatkaal services, RPO Pune has advised applicants to thoroughly check the “Tatkaal Advisory” and “Tatkaal Undertaking” on the official website. Incomplete documentation or ineligibility under the Tatkaal scheme may lead to the non-acceptance of applications.

How to Book Your Appointment

Appointments for both drives are now open to the public. To secure a slot, follow these steps:

  1. Register: Visit the official website www.passportindia.gov.in or use the mPassport Seva App.
  2. Payment: Complete the online payment process for the respective category (Normal or Tatkaal).
  3. Schedule: Go to the ‘Schedule Appointment’ page, select the preferred location, and choose the date, February 7, 2026.

Important Note for Applicants: Authorities emphasize that applicants should report at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled time. As per the Passports Act 1967, the Passport Authority reserves the right to request additional documentation to verify the genuineness of any application.
