Pune Winter: Night Temperature to Start Dropping Again After a Week of Mild Weather

Pune, November 26, 2025: Pune Winter conditions are expected to turn a little cooler over the next few days, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) hinting at a marginal drop in minimum temperatures. After a mild spell through November, the city may finally feel a brief touch of Pune Winter chill as December begins.

Clear Skies and Weak Northerly Winds Delaying the Usual Winter Chill

Weather experts noted that the absence of strong northerly winds across Maharashtra, including Pune, through November has kept the typical Pune Winter nip away. A system over the Bay of Bengal has altered the usual wind pattern, leading to dry weather, clear skies, and moderate daytime temperatures.

Former IMD Pune weather forecasting division head Anupam Kashyapi said the fall in night temperatures is likely again from December 1 or 2. He explained that the modified wind flow has delayed the arrival of the usual north-bound cold winds, but early December should bring a slight drop.

IMD: Minimum Temperatures May Dip by 1°C to 2°C

IMD officials said residents can expect a minor dip of about 1°C to 2°C in minimum temperatures over the next two to three days.

• Minimum temperatures in some parts of the city may settle around 15°C
• No sharp fall like the previous cold spell is expected
• Weak northwesterly winds may begin influencing Pune’s weather soon
• A gradual fall of 2°C to 3°C may follow across central India

On Tuesday, minimum temperatures across various stations showed a mild pattern:
• Shivajinagar: 17.2°C
• Pashan: 16.6°C
• Lohegaon: 20°C
• Chinchwad: 20.3°C
• Lavale: 19.7°C
• Koregaon Park: 20.1°C

Maximum temperatures ranged between 29°C and 32°C in most areas.

Forecast for November 26 to December 1

The Pune Winter forecast suggests:
• Maximum temperatures between 30°C and 32°C
• Minimum temperatures varying from 15°C to 19°C
• Cooler pockets like Pashan, NDA, and Shivajinagar may see lows of 14°C to 15°C
• Skies expected to stay clear throughout the week

With early December approaching, Pune Winter conditions should become more noticeable as night temperatures begin to settle lower.
