Pune: Traffic Diversions Announced in the City Ahead of Amit Shah’s Visit on July 4
Pune News, July 03, 2025: In view of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Pune on July 4, 2025, the Pune Traffic Police have issued temporary traffic regulations to ensure smooth and secure vehicular movement across key areas of the city.
Key Traffic Restrictions
The Pune Traffic Police, under the authority of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Himmat Jadhav, has imposed temporary bans on heavy and slow-moving vehicles, including trucks, dumpers, mixers, and other commercial transport, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM on July 4. The restrictions will be in effect on the following routes:
- Mantarwadi Phata to Khadi Machine Chowk
- Khadi Machine Chowk to Katraj Chowk
In the Bund Garden traffic division, the one-way stretch between Mor Odha, Circuit House Chowk, and IB Chowk will temporarily be made two-way as per operational requirements.
Purpose of the Visit
Amit Shah, a Very Very Important Person (VVIP), is visiting Pune to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for multiple development projects. The traffic restrictions aim to minimize congestion and ensure security during his movement across the city.
Public Advisory
- Avoid the mentioned routes between 12 PM and 5 PM to prevent delays.
- Heavy vehicles must plan alternative routes in advance.
