Pune: Traffic Diversion Announced on V.B. Patil Bridge for 12 Days Due to Repair Work
Pune News, July 18, 2025: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has issued a public notice regarding a temporary traffic diversion on the V.B. Patil Bridge to facilitate urgent repair work. Starting from July 16 to July 27, 2025, vehicular traffic from Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Chowk towards Pimpri-Chinchwad (PCMC) via the V.B. Patil Bridge will remain suspended for 12 days.
However, vehicles from PCMC heading towards Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Chowk can continue to use the bridge on a one-way basis, as this direction remains open.
The PMC has urged citizens who wish to travel from Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Chowk towards PCMC to use alternative routes during this period to avoid inconvenience.
This traffic restriction has been announced via PMC’s official citizen engagement platform PMC CARE to ensure smooth communication and public awareness.
Citizens are requested to cooperate with the authorities and plan their travel routes accordingly to prevent delays.
