Pune: Supriya Sule Demands Independent Authority to Address Infrastructure Woes in Hinjawadi IT Park & Adjoining Areas

Pune, June 20, 2025 – Baramati MP Supriya Sule has raised serious concerns over the persistent delays in resolving infrastructure-related issues in Rajiv Gandhi IT Park, Hinjawadi, Maan, and Marunji. In a formal letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Sule highlighted the administrative inefficiencies causing significant inconvenience to citizens and businesses in the region.
Multiple Agencies, No Accountability
Sule pointed out that due to the absence of a dedicated governing body, residents and IT professionals are forced to approach multiple agencies—including MIDC, Municipal Corporations, Pune Metro, PMRDA, MSEDCL, and the Police Department—to address basic civic issues. This fragmented system leads to prolonged delays, bureaucratic hurdles, and mental distress for citizens.
Urgent Need for a Unified Authority
The MP stressed the need for an independent authority with a competent officer at the helm to oversee infrastructure and civic management in Rajiv Gandhi IT Park, Hinjawadi, Maan, Marunji, and surrounding areas. Such a body would streamline grievance redressal, ensuring timely solutions for road maintenance, electricity, water supply, traffic management, and public safety.
Global IT Hub, Local Neglect
Rajiv Gandhi IT Park is a key contributor to India’s IT sector, hosting major global corporations. However, the lack of a centralized administrative mechanism has led to deteriorating infrastructure, hampering both business operations and quality of life for residents. Sule emphasized that such neglect is unacceptable for a globally recognized economic zone.
Appeal to the Chief Minister
In her letter, Sule urged CM Fadnavis to take immediate action and establish a dedicated authority to improve governance in the region. She asserted that this move would save time, reduce public frustration, and enhance Pune’s reputation as an IT powerhouse.
Official Communication & Contact Details
The letter was formally dispatched from Sule’s office, with copies marked to relevant departments. Citizens and stakeholders have welcomed the proposal, hoping for swift implementation.
