Pune: Security guard killed after dumper rams bike in Dehu Road
Pune, August 31, 2025: A 32-year-old man died in a road accident at Dehu Road on Sunday morning after a dumper crashed into his two-wheeler. The victim, identified as Deepal Bahadur Sai, was a resident of Vikas Nagar and worked as a private security guard. He died on the spot.

Police said the dumper driver, Pradeep Mayur Yadav from Uttar Pradesh, was allegedly talking on his phone while driving. He has been detained, and a case is being registered against him.

The accident took place around 9:30 am near Sai Dwarka Housing Society in Kiwale, within the limits of Dehu Road Police Station. At that time, heavy vehicles are not allowed to move inside the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate area. These restrictions are in force every day from 8 am to 12 pm and again from 4 pm to 10 pm to prevent accidents.
Dehu Road police confirmed the incident and said the matter is under investigation.
