Pune Ring Road: Remaining Land Acquistion Completed; Contracts for Last 3 Packages to be Awarded Soon

Pune News, July 23, 2025: The long-awaited Pune Outer Ring Road (ORR) project has taken a significant step forward as the Maharashtra government completes land acquisition for the remaining three packages, paving the way for their immediate awarding.

Out of the 12 packages under the Pune ORR initiative, nine had already been awarded to contractors. However, packages E5, E6, and E7 faced delays due to pending land acquisition. Authorities have now confirmed that these hurdles have been resolved, and Letters of Acceptance (LoAs) for the three packages will be issued shortly.

The lowest bidders (L1) for the pending packages have been identified as follows:

• Package E5: Afcons Infrastructure
• Package E6: GR Infra
• Package E7: Afcons Infrastructure

With the land acquisition process complete, the project is expected to gain momentum, ensuring smoother connectivity across Pune’s outskirts upon completion. The ORR is a crucial infrastructure development aimed at decongesting the city’s traffic and improving regional transportation efficiency.

Officials have assured that the remaining formalities will be expedited, allowing construction to begin on these packages without further delays. Stakeholders and residents eagerly await further updates as the project progresses toward its next phase.
