Pune Metro Offers Free ‘One Pune Student Pass’ Till September 15
Pune, July 24, 2025 – Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Pune Metro Rail Project) has announced a special initiative offering the ‘One Pune Student Pass’ completely free of cost for students studying upto graduation level. This offer comes as the first phase of the Pune Metro project has been successfully completed, with 29 stations now operational, transforming urban mobility in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad.
Key Highlights of the Offer:
- Free Student Pass: The pass, usually priced at ₹118 (₹100 + ₹18 GST), will be provided free of charge from July 25, 2025, to September 15, 2025.
- Mandatory Top-Up: Students must recharge ₹200 while availing the pass, which will be fully credited back to their account with no additional charges.
- Daily Travel Discount: Pass holders will enjoy 30% discount on all metro rides during the offer period.
- Eligibility:Â Upto Graduation-level students (KYC verified) and those under 18 years (with parental KYC verification) can avail the benefit.
Boosting Student Mobility & Sustainable Transport
With over 1.90 lakh daily commuters, Pune Metro has become a crucial public transport system for the city. A significant portion of these commuters are students, especially with the new academic session beginning soon. This initiative aims to ease travel expenses, encourage metro ridership, and promote a sustainable transport ecosystem for Pune’s student community.
