Pune: ‘PTP TrafficCop’ App Now Live for Download on iOS & Play Store – Report Violations Easily!

Pune News, 15th June 2025 – Following its official launch yesterday by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, the ‘PTP TrafficCop’ app is now live and available for download on both the App Store (iOS) and Play Store (Android). Developed by Pune City Police, this citizen-centric app empowers residents to report traffic violations and road hazards in real-time, promoting transparency and faster resolution.
Citizen-Driven Traffic Management
The app allows users to upload photo evidence of violations, including:
✅ Illegal parking (footpaths, no-parking zones)
✅ Triple-seat riding on two-wheelers
✅ Mobile phone use while driving
✅ Unauthorized heavy vehicles in restricted zones
✅ Wrong-side driving or no-entry violations
Additionally, citizens can report road hazards like potholes, accidents, waterlogging, and abandoned vehicles, ensuring quicker municipal action.
Eligibility & Verification
Only users without pending traffic fines (challans) can submit reports, ensuring responsible participation. Each complaint is verified within 48 hours, and digital challans are issued upon confirmation.
Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar stated:
“This app fosters shared responsibility—citizens act as our eyes while maintaining privacy. Every verified report leads to action.”
Seamless Coordination & Data Privacy
The app ensures real-time coordination between traffic police and municipal authorities. Additional Commissioner Manoj Patil emphasized:
“We want Pune’s citizens to be proactive partners in road safety.”
Pune Police assures complete data security, with no misuse of personal information.
