Hinjawadi, July 17, 2025 – In a significant move to alleviate traffic congestion in Hinjawadi and surrounding areas, the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has decided to initiate land acquisition for widening key roads. A review meeting was held on Wednesday with affected farmers and stakeholders to discuss the plan.

PMRDA Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase addressed concerns raised by farmers and business owners, ensuring a smooth resolution of their issues. The road-widening project is expected to enhance traffic flow and improve urban mobility, making daily commutes more convenient for residents. Officials emphasized that the process would be carried out in coordination with the farmers.

The meeting was attended by Additional Metropolitan Commissioner Deepak Singla, Chief Engineer Rinaj Pathan, Superintendent Engineer Shivprasad Bhagdi, and Planning Department Officer Shrikant Prabhune, among other key officials.
