Pune: PMRDA Holds Crucial Meeting on Unauthorized, Dangerous Hoardings
The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) held a significant meeting on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Dipti Suryavanshi-Patil, to address issues related to unauthorized and dangerous hoardings. ✅ Immediate removal of dangerous hoardings in crowded and high-traffic areas.
✅ Unauthorized hoardings on major roads, including Hinjawadi, Haveli, Wagholi, Manjari, Pune-Satara Road, and Pune-Solapur Road, must be dismantled.
✅ Deadline of April 8, 2025, for submitting pending permission applications—failure will result in hoardings being deemed illegal and removed.
✅ No new hoardings without prior approval; unauthorized installations will face swift action.
✅ Only one hoarding per structure allowed to prevent overcrowding.
✅ Strict liability on owners, advertisers, and property holders in case of accidents caused by hoardings.
Strict penalties will be imposed for violations of these regulations.
