Pune: PMRDA Cracks Down on Illegal Plotting in Purandar; Urges Citizens to Verify Land Status Before Purchasing
Pune, November 21, 2025: The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has launched a major crackdown on unauthorised plotting in Purandar taluka after repeated complaints of fraud and unsafe land dealings. Over the past two days, action was taken in Devdi, Ambodi and Kalewadi. Officials have completed surveys in 15 villages so far and have started enforcement wherever violations were found.

What Action Was Taken
- Removal of illegal plotting
- Clearing of unauthorised internal roads
- Removal of illegal demarcation poles

The drive is being carried out under the guidance of PMRDA Commissioner Dr Yogesh Mhase. The enforcement team includes Additional Commissioner of the Illegal Construction Removal Department Dr Dipti Suryawanshi-Patil, Deputy Commissioner Kirankumar Kakade and PMRDA officials.

PMRDA Issues Advisory to Buyers
PMRDA has urged citizens to check the legal status of any land before purchasing to avoid fraud or disputes. The authority has confirmed that the crackdown on illegal plotting in Purandar will continue.
