Pune: PMRDA Conducts Massive Drive Against Illegal Encroachments in Hinjawadi, Maan, and Marunji Areas
Pune News, July 19, 2025: In a decisive move to tackle traffic congestion and flood-like situations, the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has intensified its crackdown on illegal encroachments across Hinjawadi, Maan, and Marunji. As part of this ongoing drive, PMRDA carried out an anti-encroachment operation near Laxmi Chowk and surrounding areas on Friday.
Prior to the action, notices were served to encroachers, prompting most of them to voluntarily remove their illegal structures. The remaining encroachments were cleared by PMRDA officials in a coordinated effort.
The operation was conducted under the guidance of PMRDA Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase, with the support of Deputy Commissioner (Unauthorized Construction and Removal Department) Dr. Deepti Suryavanshi, Tehsildar Asha Holkar, and their team.
