Pune: PMPML Launches Two New Tourist Bus Routes to Boost Affordable Tourism
Pune, June 09, 2025: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd. (PMPML) expanded its low-cost tourism initiative by launching two new tourist bus routes—Service Nos. 8 and 9—on Sunday. The inauguration ceremony took place at 9 AM at Deccan Bus Stand on June 8th and was flagged off by PMPML Chairman and Managing Director, Deepa Mudhol-Munde. Alongside the new routes, an additional bus under Service No. 6 was also introduced.
The initiative received an enthusiastic response, with 151 tourists boarding the first set of buses—most of them women. Five buses were deployed, including two each for the new routes and one for the existing service.
Affordable & Eco-Friendly Travel
Mudhol-Munde stated, “PMPML’s tourist bus service is gaining popularity, especially among women travellers. These comfortable and affordable trips encourage exploration of nearby destinations without hassle.” The service uses eco-friendly, air-conditioned electric buses, previously limited to weekends but now available daily—subject to sufficient bookings.

- Service No. 6: Pune Station → Wagheshwar Temple (Wagholi) → Wadebolhai → Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Samadhi Temple (Vadhu Budruk) → Ranjangaon Ganapati → Pune Station
- Service No. 8: Pune Station → Swargate → ISKCON Temple (Ravet) → Morya Gosavi Temple (Chinchwad) → Pratishirdi (Shirgaon) → Dehugaon Gatha Temple → Bhandara Dongar Paitha → Swargate → Pune Station
- Service No. 9: Swargate → Paudgaon → Shri Satya Saibaba Maharaj Ashram (Hadshi) → Chinmaya Vibhutiyoga Sadhana Dhyan Kendra (Kolvan) → Swargate
