Due to water releases from various dams, the water levels in the Mutha and Pavana rivers are rising. Villages near these rivers need to take the following precautions:
Safety Precautions:
- Relocate Immediately: Residents in low-lying areas should move to safer locations right away.
- Stay Vigilant: Those living near rivers, streams, and canals should be alert. If the water level increases, keep a safe distance from the river and relocate to a secure area.
- Avoid Bridges: Do not attempt to cross bridges if water is flowing over them.
- No Crowding: Do not gather to watch the flood.
- Foothill Caution: Residents at the base of hills should be extra cautious and move to safer places as needed.
- Avoid Ghat Roads: Refrain from travelling on ghat roads.
- Stay Out of Water: Do not enter the river’s flowing water.
- No Risky Selfies: Avoid taking selfies in dangerous areas.
PMC requests citizens to adhere to these guidelines and contribute to overall safety during the rainy season.
