Pune: PMC Removes 2,500 Illegal Flex Boards in Massive Crackdown

Pune, October 04, 2025: In a major campaign against illegal outdoor advertisements, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) launched an early morning operation on October 3, 2025, to remove unauthorized flex boards and banners across the city. The drive began at 5 a.m. and covered all 15 regional administrative zones within Pune.

According to officials, nearly 2,500 illegal flex boards and banners were dismantled as part of this citywide crackdown. The action, which will continue throughout the day, aims to maintain the city’s cleanliness and prevent visual pollution caused by unapproved advertising materials.

The PMC has also announced strict measures going forward. Any new unauthorized banners or boards displayed in public spaces will result in criminal charges and monetary penalties against the responsible parties.

Municipal authorities have urged advertisers and event organizers to seek prior permission before putting up promotional materials to avoid penalties. This enforcement drive marks a strong step toward making Pune’s public areas more organized and visually appealing.
