Pune: Pimpri-Chinchwad Unveils Mega Urban Transformation with 10 Key Projects & Infrastructure Boost

Pimpri-Chinchwad – In a landmark event marking a new era of urban development, Bhosari MLA Mahesh Landge announced the inauguration and launch of multiple infrastructure and social projects under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis and the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC). The projects, unveiled on June 18, aim to redefine urban governance, enhance connectivity, and promote sustainable growth in the region.

🏁 Project Inaugurations:

1️⃣ 200-Feet Bhagwa Dhwaj at Wadmukhwadi – A towering saffron flag, now a spiritual landmark on the Dehu–Alandi route, symbolizing pride and Sant Parampara.

2️⃣ ‘Sant Srishti’ at Charholi on Palkhi Marg – A vibrant tribute to Maharashtra’s Sant tradition, enriching the Palkhi pilgrimage experience through heritage art and boosting religious tourism.

3️⃣ Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) – Pimple Nilakh & Chikhali (₹292 Cr) – Treated water will be reused for greenery, construction, and cleanliness, reducing pollution in the Indrayani River.

4️⃣ Chikhali Kalewadi BRT / Mother Teresa Flyover Ramps (₹40 Cr) – Spanning 210m and 193.76m, the ramps will ease traffic to Rahatani, Thergaon, Kalewadi, and Hinjawadi.

5️⃣ Thergaon–Chinchwad Butterfly Bridge over Pavana River – A strategic infrastructure piece to shorten commutes and decongest Moraya Gosavi Mandir & Chapekar Chowk.

6️⃣ New School Complexes – Dighi & Bhosari – Modern facilities, including science labs and smart classrooms, for over 2,500 students.

7️⃣ Fire Station – Charholi – A G+3 fire safety hub with staff quarters to enhance emergency response in growing suburbs.

8️⃣ Multi-Level Parking – Bhosari – With a capacity for 100 cars and 150 bikes, the facility aims to reduce road congestion.

9️⃣ International Climbing Wall – Pimple Saudagar – An Olympic-standard sports facility to promote youth sports.

🔟 Divyang Child Mapping Project – A survey under the 2016 Disabilities Act to ensure inclusive development for differently-abled citizens.

🛣️ Groundbreaking Works:

1️⃣ Mukai Chowk – Lodha Complex Service Road (1,650m | ₹45 Cr) – To improve access to the Express Highway and ease traffic.

2️⃣ Symbiosis College Road – Kiwale to Highway (830m) – Enhancing connectivity for education, IT, and residential hubs.

3️⃣ Vikasnagar Road – 12–15m Wide (850m) – Improving last-mile connectivity to Pune–Mumbai highways.
