Pune: The minimum temperature is expected to drop to 9 degree Celsius from February 2 onwards, according to IMD. On Sunday, Pune recorded a minimum temperature of 12.2 degrees Celsius, making it one of the coldest places in Maharashtra.
According to weather department, the minimum temperature in Pune will see a rise in the next two days, reaching up to 13-14 degrees Celsius and then drop to 9 degrees Celsius from February 2.
The maximum temperature however, will continue to remain around 30-32 degree Celsius in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Pune witnessed heavy fog on Monday morning and a slight chill in the air, reducing visibility considerably and making it feel much colder.
On Sunday, the lowest temperature of the state was recorded in Aurangabad at 10.9 degree Celsius (1.7 degree Celsius below normal) and the maximum temperature was 34.1 degree Celsius in Bramhapuri, Vidarbha (3.7 degree Celsius above normal).
