Pune Metro to Operate Non-stop for 41 Hours on Anant Chaturdashi; Extended Service Hours on Other Days During Ganeshotsav

Pune Metro has announced extended service hours during Ganeshotsav to make travel easier for devotees visiting for Ganpati darshan. The move aims to reduce traffic congestion in the city and encourage eco-friendly travel.

The special schedule will begin from Ganesh Chaturthi on Wednesday, 27 August 2025. On this day, Pune Metro trains will run from 6 am until 11 pm. The regular schedule will continue on 29 August. On 1 September, the day of Gauri Pujan, services will be extended till 2 am the following morning.

For Anant Chaturdashi, which sees the largest crowds for visarjan processions, Pune Metro will operate non-stop for 41 hours. Services will start at 6 am on Saturday, 6 September and continue till 11 pm on Sunday, 7 September. Normal timings will resume from Monday, 8 September.

Officials have appealed to citizens to make maximum use of Pune Metro during the festive days to avoid road traffic and celebrate Ganeshotsav in a cleaner and more convenient way.
