Pune: Man Attacks Wife with Axe As She Denied Money for Liquor, Arrested
Pune – In a shocking incident at Taljai Vasahat, a man attacked his wife with an axe after she refused to give him money for alcohol. The Sahakarnagar police have arrested the accused.
The victim, Poonam Datta Adagale (32), sustained serious head injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital. Her husband, Datta Rajaram Adagale (38), has been taken into custody following her complaint.
According to the police, the couple has been married since 2015, and Poonam earns a living through household work. On Monday (March 31) at around 8 PM, Datta came home drunk and demanded money for alcohol. When Poonam refused, he attacked her with an axe in a fit of rage, causing severe head injuries.
Sub-Inspector Reshma Salunke is investigating the case further.
