Pune: Major Traffic Restrictions Announced for Sant Dnyaneshwar and Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Processions on June 22
Pune, June 22, 2025: In anticipation of the grand departure of the Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi processions towards Pandharpur on Sunday, June 22, the Pune Traffic Police have issued extensive traffic restrictions across key routes in the city, particularly around Nana Peth, Bhavani Peth, and Solapur Road.
Palkhi Procession Routes & Timings
As per tradition, Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj’s Palkhi will commence its journey from the Palakhi Vitthal Mandir in Bhavani Peth, proceeding via Hadapsar and Dive Ghat before halting at Saswad. Meanwhile, Sant Tukaram Maharaj’s Palkhi will depart from the Nivdung Vitthal Temple in Nana Peth, traveling via Solapur Road and stopping at Loni Kalbhor.
Traffic Diversions & Road Closures
To ensure a smooth passage for the revered processions and prevent congestion, several arterial roads will be completely closed from the early hours of Sunday, June 22. Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes and avoid the affected areas.
