Pune: Karnataka Man Arrested in Faraskhana for Selling Narcotic Pills, Drugs Worth ₹6.5 Lakh Seized
Pune News, July 18, 2025: In a significant crackdown, the Faraskhana police successfully apprehended a suspect from Karnataka who was allegedly involved in the sale of narcotic-laced pills. Acting on a confidential tip-off about the accused operating in the Faraskhana area, the police laid a trap and arrested him.
During the operation, authorities seized a substantial quantity of narcotic substances, including 718 drug-laced pills weighing 75.36 grams. Additionally, the police confiscated other items from the accused, including a two-wheeler, four mobile phones, and cash, amounting to an estimated ₹6.5 lakh in total value.
The arrest highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to curb the illegal drug trade in the region. Further investigations are underway to uncover potential links to larger narcotics networks.
