Pune: Ganja Worth ₹11 Lakh Seized in Bavdhan Shop Raid; Cash and Mobile Phones Also Recovered
Pune, June 04, 2025: Pimpri-Chinchwad Police carried out a significant raid on a shop located on Pashan-Sus Road in Bavdhan, following a confidential tip-off. The operation was led by Police Inspector Santosh Patil, Assistant Police Inspector Vikram Gaikwad, and their team, who were patrolling the area when they received the information.
Upon conducting the raid, the team uncovered that ganja (cannabis) was being illegally sold from the premises. As a result, a case was registered under sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(c), and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The seized material included:
- 20 kg 736 gm of ganja valued at ₹11,27,700
- 3 mobile phones
- Cash
The raid was executed by the Anti-Narcotics Squad, Crime Unit 2, and officials from the respective police station under the jurisdiction of Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate (#PCCityPolice).
