Pune News, July 20, 2025: In a shocking late-night burglary, unidentified assailants broke into a bungalow in Pune’s Nigdi Pradhikaran area, tied up an elderly businessman, and made off with valuables before fleeing the scene. The incident occurred around 9 pm on Saturday in the Pimpri Chinchwad locality, prompting an immediate police response.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Pimpri Chinchwad, Shivaji Pawar, preliminary investigations indicate that three to four intruders forcibly entered the bungalow, restrained the elderly occupant by tying his hands, and ransacked the property before escaping with valuables. A police team swiftly arrived at the scene to gather evidence and initiate a probe.
Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity and questioning potential witnesses to identify the suspects. No arrests have been made so far, but the police have assured intensified efforts to track down the perpetrators.
