Pune Deputy Chief Minister Reviews District Hospitals, Ensures Enhanced Healthcare
Pune, Oct 13, 2023: The Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar made a comprehensive review of the government hospitals in the district. Notable personalities including MLA Sunil Tingre, MLA Sidharth Shirole, Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao, Collector Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh, and Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Ramesh Chavan marked their presence.
A firm decision was made to allocate more funds from the state level dedicated to healthcare. Additionally, if required, financial assistance will be channelized through the District Planning Committee. Pawar stressed that general patients should be the primary beneficiaries of the facilities in government hospitals. Any neglect or discrepancy in this directive would warrant stringent actions against the involved parties.
A prominent call was made for an increase in the number of beds in government-run hospitals. The Deputy Chief Minister and Pune Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar emphasized that the hospitals must ensure that there’s no shortage of medicine for the patients, reiterating that lapses in this area would not be tolerated.
