Pune: Bookings Open May 5 for New Hadapsar–Jodhpur Superfast Express
Pune, May 3, 2025: Rail passengers planning to travel between Maharashtra and Rajasthan have a new reason to cheer—bookings for the newly introduced Hadapsar–Jodhpur Superfast Express will open on May 5, 2025, according to Central Railway’s Pune Division. Reservations can be made at all computerized booking counters and via the IRCTC website.
The new daily superfast express will strengthen connectivity between Hadapsar (Pune) and Jodhpur, offering faster travel and better convenience for passengers commuting between the two states.
Train Schedule and Launch Dates
The Jodhpur–Hadapsar Superfast Express (Train No. 20495) will commence regular operations from May 5, departing Jodhpur at 22:00 hrs and arriving at Hadapsar at 17:10 hrs the next day.
In the reverse direction, the Hadapsar–Jodhpur Superfast Express (Train No. 20496) will start from May 6, departing Hadapsar at 19:15 hrs and reaching Jodhpur at 15:10 hrs the following day.

Halts and Coach Details
This new superfast express train will stop at major stations including Luni, Pali Marwar, Marwar Junction, Rani, Falna, Jawai Bandh, Pindwara, Abu Road, Palanpur, Mahesana, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Vapi, Vasai Road, Kalyan, Lonavala, Chinchwad, and Pune.
Coach composition includes 20 LHB coaches:
- 2 AC 2-Tier
- 3 AC 3-Tier
- 2 AC 3-Tier Economy
- 7 Sleeper Class
- 4 General Second Class
- 1 Generator Car
- 1 Luggage-cum-Guard’s Brake Van
Inaugural Specials on May 3 and 4
Ahead of the regular service, two inaugural special trains will be operated:
- Train No. 01401 Hadapsar–Jodhpur Inaugural Special will depart Hadapsar at 17:30 hrs on May 3 and arrive in Jodhpur at 14:00 hrs on May 4.
- Train No. 01402 Jodhpur–Hadapsar One-Way TOD Special will leave Jodhpur at 20:30 hrs on May 4 and reach Pune at 17:00 hrs on May 5.
Bookings for Train No. 01401 began on May 2 at 16:00 hrs through standard booking channels.
The launch of this new train is part of Indian Railways’ ongoing efforts to expand connectivity and improve passenger travel experience across key regional corridors.
