Pune, July 27 – Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Pune District Guardian Minister, Ajit Pawar, conducted a surprise early morning visit to Rajiv Gandhi IT Park and adjoining areas in Hinjawadi on Saturday to personally assess the intensifying traffic congestion, metro construction progress, and infrastructural challenges in the region. His visit was followed by a high-level review meeting at the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) headquarters in Akurdi, where he issued strong directives to fast-track developmental works and resolve long-standing urban issues.

Beginning his day at dawn, Ajit Pawar toured critical traffic hotspots and under-construction infrastructure sites in and around Hinjawadi. Key stretches visited included:

The Deputy CM closely examined the progress of Metro Line 3 and associated traffic solutions, while also reviewing demolition efforts for encroachment removal and early-stage road proposals. Following the field visit, Pawar chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the PMRDA’s Akurdi office. He expressed concern over the severe traffic situation affecting residents and IT employees in the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park and surrounding areas like Maan, Mahalunge, and Sus.

  • Speedy completion of Pune Metro Line 3 works
