Unseasonal rains in many parts of the country had led to a drop in the supply of fruits and vegetables in Pune.

As a result, the prices of fruits and vegetables have been skyrocketing in the past few days, especially for vegetables like capsicum, drumsticks, cauliflower, tomato, and green chilies.

However, on Sunday, 90 trucks of fruits and vegetables arrived at Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) market in Pune from the states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka, along with Maharashtra.

This fresh batch of supplies is expected to stabilize the fruit and vegetable prices in Pune, bringing much needed relief to common man.
