PIMPLE SAUDAGAR – The streets of Pimpri-Chinchwad are gearing up for a surge of adrenaline as the 5th Edition of the PCHM Marathon returns this Sunday, December 21, 2025. Starting from the PCMC Ground, the event promises to be more than just a race; it is a celebration of grit, green initiatives, and the rising sporting talent of Pune’s youth.
The marathon features four categories, 21 km, 10 km, 5 km, and 3 km, designed to accommodate everyone from professional long-distance runners to families and fitness enthusiasts.
The New Faces of Fitness: Roseland Residency’s Young Influencers
This year, the spotlight shines brightly on a group of remarkable young athletes from Roseland Residency (7th to 10th standard). These “Young Influencers” are redefining what it means to be a student-athlete:

Leadership from the Front: ACP Sachin Hire
In a true “lead by example” moment, ACP Shri Sachin Hire will not only flag off the 21 km flagship race but will also lace up his running shoes to complete the half-marathon himself.
“This event is one of my favorites,” said ACP Hire. “I’ll be running on a completely traffic-free route for a meaningful cause, Stride of Change, Shades of Green. Let’s run together and make a green impact.”
Cultural Flair: The Ladies Saree Run
Adding a vibrant splash of color to the 3 km category is the Ladies Saree Run. This unique feature celebrates women’s empowerment by blending traditional Indian attire with physical fitness, proving that health and heritage go hand-in-hand.
A Community United
The local spirit is anchored by the Roseland Team, led by triathlete Chandan Chaurasia and seasoned runner Vinayak Shinde. Shinde, who is also serving as the 21 km Pacer, is part of a 65-member strong contingent from Roseland Residency participating this year.
“Roseland residents have an enthusiastic team and a proud tradition of participation,” noted Chaurasia, highlighting the community’s deep-rooted commitment to the PCHM legacy.
