Orbia Opens Global IT Hub in Pune to Boost Digital Transformation
Pune, November 4: Global sustainable solutions company Orbia has announced the launch of its new IT hub in Pune, designed to strengthen its global digital and technology capabilities.
Operating across more than 50 countries, Orbia works in sectors such as polymer solutions, infrastructure, precision agriculture, connectivity, and energy materials. The Pune IT Hub will serve as a global centre for digital transformation, focusing on data analytics, automation, cybersecurity and cloud engineering.
Andrea Bergamini, Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Orbia, said, “India has been an important partner in our global journey. With this hub, we aim to embed innovation and digital expertise into our operations to create technology that improves lives and communities.”
Explaining the choice of location, Rajya-Lakshmi Tokachichu, Head of Orbia IT Pune, said that India’s strong digital talent and Pune’s robust technology ecosystem made it the ideal base. “We will focus on data, automation and digital engineering to deliver value to Orbia’s global businesses,” she added.
The Pune IT Hub was developed in collaboration with Zinnov, a management and strategy consulting firm. Zinnov Managing Partner Karthik Padmanabhan said the initiative reflects how global enterprises can merge technology and purpose to accelerate transformation.
The new hub underscores Orbia’s commitment to sustainable innovation and technology-driven growth.
