From Saturday, 30th August to Friday, 5th September 2025, Pune Metro services will run until 2:00 midnight. Devotees have been advised to make use of nearby metro stations such as Kasba Peth, Deccan Gymkhana, and PMC instead of depending on Mandai Metro Station, which often witnesses heavy rush. MahaMetro’s Managing Director, Shravan Hardikar, has specifically appealed to citizens to use Mandai Metro Station only for their return journey.

To ease access to the Peth area, Gate No. 2 of Kasba Peth Metro Station, located near Satatoti Police Chowki, has been inaugurated. The opening was done by Hemant Rasane, MLA of Kasba Assembly Constituency, in the presence of senior officials including Capt. Dr. Rajendra Saner-Patil (General Manager, HR) and Chandrashekhar Tambwekar (Additional GM, Administration & PR). MLA Hemant Rasane has also appealed to devotees to alight at Kasba Peth Metro Station and proceed further for Ganesh darshan.

In another development, escalators at Gates No. 2 and 3 of Yerawada Metro Station are now operational from 30th August, offering passengers a more convenient and safe way to exit and enter the station. However, Pune Metro has reminded passengers to remain careful while using escalators.

Considering the heavy crowd expected at Mandai Metro Station, the entry and exit points have been rearranged. Passengers are requested to strictly follow Metro administration guidelines. These changes will remain in force until 6:00 AM on 7th September 2025.

To reduce waiting time at ticket counters, Pune Metro has encouraged passengers to use WhatsApp ticketing and online booking facilities. With QR code-based WhatsApp tickets, devotees can avoid standing in long queues and enjoy a smoother journey.

For those travelling towards the central Peth areas:

  • Passengers on Line 1 are advised to alight at Kasba Peth or PMC stations instead of Mandai.
  • Passengers on Line 2 are advised to alight at Deccan Gymkhana or PMC stations.
  • Mandai Metro Station should preferably be used only for return journeys.

Pune Metro has urged citizens to cooperate with these arrangements to make the festive travel experience safer and more comfortable.
