Pune Lok Sabha MP and Union Minister of State Murlidhar Mohol announced the news, highlighting persistent efforts to secure improved connectivity between Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

Enhanced Travel Convenience

The upcoming train will provide a major relief to passengers, especially students, tourists, and business travelers, bridging key cities like Pune, Jabalpur, and Rewa. The Indian Railways is expected to release the official schedule soon.

Part of Broader Rail Expansion

This announcement follows Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw’s recent statement on three new train services, including Rewa-Pune, Jabalpur-Raipur, and Gwalior-KSR Bengaluru City, set to begin within two months. These initiatives aim to boost trade, tourism, and employment opportunities in the region.

Infrastructure Push in MP

Vaishnaw also emphasized the rapid progress of railway projects in Madhya Pradesh, including the Ratlam-Nagda third and fourth line projects, worth ₹1,018 crore. With ongoing projects valued at ₹1.01 lakh crore, the state’s rail infrastructure is undergoing unprecedented expansion.

Positive Public Response

Residents of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh have welcomed the move, calling it a crucial step toward regional development. The exact launch date and ticketing details will be announced shortly.
