MP Supriya Sule Urges Railways to Restore Pune–Solapur Train Service and Boribel Station Halt

Baramati MP Supriya Sule has written to the Central Railway, pressing for the urgent restoration of the Pune–Solapur passenger train service, which has been suspended since the COVID-19 lockdown. She also requested that the train once again halt at Boribel station, a vital access point for nearby villages.
Located about 11 km from Daund Junction, Boribel station connects residents to important destinations like Tuljapur, Pandharpur, Akkalkot, and Ganagapur. Before the pandemic, several passenger trains stopped at Boribel, making daily travel and pilgrimages much more convenient. Since the service was discontinued, local commuters have faced considerable difficulties.
Despite repeated follow-ups with railway authorities, the train service has not yet resumed. Sule’s letter, dated September 1, 2025, stressed the importance of reinstating both the train service and its scheduled halts at Boribel in the UP and DOWN directions. She said that restoring the service would significantly ease travel for thousands of passengers in the region.

Frustrated by the delay, villagers have now resorted to agitation to draw attention to the issue. Sule’s intervention highlights the urgency of the matter and her commitment to addressing the transport needs of her constituents. The MP’s office is awaiting a positive response from the railway authorities.
