Maruti Suzuki Launches e VITARA in India; Introductory BaaS Price Starts at ₹10.99 Lakh
Pune, February 17, 2026: Marking a major milestone in India’s shift toward electric mobility, Maruti Suzuki India Limited has officially commenced deliveries of its highly anticipated electric SUV, the e VITARA.
Aiming to make EV ownership more accessible, the company has introduced the e VITARA with a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership model. Under this plan, the introductory price starts at ₹10.99 lakh, with an additional battery EMI starting at ₹3.99 per km.
Exclusive NEXA Edge Package
To provide a seamless experience for early adopters, Maruti Suzuki is offering the “NEXA Edge” package, which includes:
- Seamless Home Charging: A complimentary 7.4 kW AC Wall Box Charger with installation.
- Public Charging Access: One year of complimentary charging (up to 1,000 units) via the ‘e for me’ app at authorized Maruti Suzuki dealer locations.
- Assured Buyback: A 3-year ownership plan offering up to 60% assured buyback value.
- Extended Warranty: The battery comes with an 8-year or 1,60,000 km warranty, while the vehicle itself has a 3-year standard warranty (extendable up to 8 years).
Performance and Safety Features
The e VITARA is built on the HEARTECT-e platform and is available in two battery variants: 61kWh and 49kWh. The higher-capacity battery offers a certified driving range of up to 543 km.
Safety remains a core focus, with the SUV boasting a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating (based on its platform construction). Standard safety features include:
- Level 2 ADAS: Includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, and Automatic Emergency Braking.
- 7 Airbags: Including a driver-side knee airbag as standard.
- Next-Gen Suzuki Connect: Over 60 connected car features for enhanced user experience.
Flexible Ownership with ‘e Flex’
Speaking on the launch, Mr. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, stated, “The e VITARA offers a commendable driving range supported by the ‘e for me’ charging ecosystem. With over 1,500 EV-ready service centres and dedicated relationship managers, we are ensuring complete peace of mind for our customers.”
In addition to BaaS, the company introduced the ‘e Flex’ scheme, allowing customers to upgrade to an e VITARA with EMIs similar to their existing petrol or diesel cars, making the transition to electric smoother for the pocket.

The introductory offers are valid until March 31, 2026. Customers can book the e VITARA at any NEXA showroom or via the official website with an initial payment of ₹21,000.
